Manipulation of Digital Media Through the investigation and ‘play’ of various digital medium, an inspirational body of work is generated. In the same way an architectural sketch becomes a catalyst for imagination; the imaginative perception of two dimensional planes and three dimensional shapes become the project generator.

These earlier form studies were effective in helping to stimulate our thought and question where we wanted to head for the semester. However, our meaningless form generation did give rise to a number of different possible questions, that we struggled to reduce to one, singular problem!
ReplyDeleteThere was also some varying rates of success amongst the models, as some were of a particularly high standard and others lacked aesthetic or even conceptual resolution. Perhaps this first attempt at a marketing image should have been reduced to the very BEST models, rather than an amateur photo of the entire collection, which looks rather simplified and childish and does not convey the complexity with which we modelled, unfolded, laser cut, and rebuilt these. This took 6 weeks!!!!!
